John Walker played basketball and was on the track and field team during his career at Central Columbia. In track John high jumped, triple jumped, was part of the mile relay team, and ran the intermediate hurdles. During his sophomore and junior years John placed third at districts in the high jump. He was also part of the mile relay team who finished fifth at districts his junior year. John set the school record in the High Jump and the Triple Jump during his sophomore year. Walker was a league, district, and state champion in the high jump during his senior year, re-establishing his own high jump mark by reaching 6 feet, 8 inches at the state meet.

John graduated from Bloomsburg University. During his junior and senior year he was Class President. He went on to Katz Graduate School where he was Vice President of the student body. Walker is working in the telecommunications industry. He and his wife, Tracy, live in Easton, PA.
