John Fogarty

John Fogarty played football, wrestled, and was on the track team during his career at Central Columbia. John was a three time Tri Athlete Award winner. He won the Robert Rohm Memorial Award and the John Creasy Memorial Award his senior year and was a two time Carl Everett Memorial Award winner.

In wrestling John was a three time Blue Jay Invitational Champion, a four time Columbia County Tournament Champion, three time District IV Sectional Champion, a two time District IV Champion, a two time PIAA State Regional Champion, a three time PIAA State Qualifier, a two time PIAA State Medalist, finishing third his junior year and second his senior year. John compiled a career record of 116-14-2, going 32-2 his senior year. John still holds the school record for wins, with 116. John also was the Press Enterprise Most Valuable Wrestler his senior year and a three time PA Wrestling Coaches Assoc. All State Wrestler. In football he was a two time CSC All Star Outside Linebacker, being named CSC Linebacker of the Year and All Anthracite Outside Linebacker of the Year his senior year.

John went on wrestle four years at Cornell University, starting all four years, was an NCAA National Qualifier, ranked in Division I Top 12 by Amateur Wrestling News, and was a three time Ivy League Champion. John is presently living in Allentown, PA, where he is a Store Manager for a Wal-Mart Super Center.
