Glen Spaid was a three-sport athlete, playing soccer, basketball, and baseball during his career. He earned twelve letters, lettering in all three sports all four years of his career. Glen was also a Co-Captain in both soccer and basketball. During the four years Glen played soccer the soccer team won the Columbia County League championship three years and the District IV championship two years. During the four years Glen played basketball, the basketball team won the Bloomsburg State Teachers Tournament, a Columbia County League championship, and a District IV championship. Glen was named the Outstanding Athlete his senior year.

He went on to Penn State, played soccer his freshman year, and was named Co-Captain. He then transferred to Bloomsburg State Teachers College, graduating with a degree in mathematics. Glen then went on to teach for thirty-seven years, thirty-five at Central Columbia. He also was a head coach of boys & girls basketball for three years each, boy's tennis for 25 years, girl's tennis for 15 years, and bowling for twenty-six years. Glen was also an assistant coach in football, basketball, and cross-country.

He is retired and lives in Carroll Park, PA, with his wife of forty-eight years, Susie, who is also a retired teacher from Central Columbia. They have two children, Virginia and Patricia and they also have three grandchildren.
