Duane Ford is a 1967 graduate of Dickinson College and is a member of the 1965 Dickinson College Hall of Fame Football Team. He continued post graduate work at Temple University and Penn State University. Duane taught at Central Columbia High School from 1969-2003 and served as Social Studies Department Chairman for 30 years. As of 2014, 5 of his teams have been inducted into the Hall of Fame and the 2014 Softball Team automatically qualifies for the class of 2019. In addition, 13 of his players have been inducted. He is the only coach in Pennsylvania history to win State titles in 2 different sports and has a career coaching record of 1,389 wins at Central.

COACHING ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
In addition to his several years as an assistant football coach at Central, he has completed 73 seasons as head coach in boys basketball, girls, basketball, and softball.

From 1986 through 1996 his teams won 11 straight league titles and had a 104 game league win streak from 1988 through 1995

Only coach in Pennsylvania history to win State Championships in two different sports (Basketball & Softball) and has a combined career total of 1,303 wins and counting.

Currently, he resides in Mifflinville and was married to the late Judy Richards. Duane has two children, Garrett and Abbey, and three grand children, Alyxandra, Jude, and Crue.
