1991 Softball Team

The 1991 senior class won four straight league titles (three of them undefeated), two District IV AA titles and had a combined record of 85 wins and only 9 losses. In 1991, Central ended the Mid-Penn League and added to the string of five consecutive Columbia County League titles with a third straight undefeated league record. The team also defeated all non-league opponents, including several AAA State powers in the annual State College Invitational Tournament before capturing the District IV AA Title.

During the 1991 season, the league and district champions posted the second best overall record of any team in any sport at Central competing in a team playoff format with 24 straight wins and only one loss. Only the 28-0 1994 State Championship Softball Team had a better winning %. The 1991 team was clearly one of the most dominant ever- outscoring opponents nearly 10-1 (418-42).

The team still holds single season Central records for: total at bats (934), triples (23), runs scored (418); total times on base (616), on base % (.660), sacrifices (50) and most 10 run rule games (17).
