Taylor Cummings, Class of 2005, was a three sport athlete, participating in soccer, wrestling, and track & field. In wrestling, Taylor made the Press Enterprise All- Decade Team (112 lbs.), and the All- Anthracite Team twice, he received the Bob Rohm Award in 2005 and was team captain in 2004 and 2005. In wrestling, Taylor was a two time sectional and district champion in 2003 and 2005. He was also the regional champion in 2005. Taylor qualified for the state tournament 3 times and placed 4th in 2004 and 5th in 2005. Taylor was also a two time champion of the Bob Rohm tournament. He finished his high school career with a record of 30-3 his senior year and an overall record of 121-30 in his four years at Central Columbia. Taylor still holds the school record for technical falls. After graduating from Central Columbia High School, Taylor was the 2007 ACC Champion and National Qualifier at North Carolina State for Wrestling. He was also named the 2012 Conference (Tri-9) Coach of the Year.
