Christopher Haupt, Class of 2005, was a three sport athlete, participating in Football, Basketball and Baseball during his time at Central Columbia. In baseball, Chris was a member of the 2004 Mid-Penn First Team and American League East- West All-Star Team. In 2005, he was a member of the Press Enterprise first team as well as an All-State Catcher. He received the Four Year Letter Award in 2005. In basketball, Chris was a two time first team defensive player in the Central Susquehanna Conference. In football, he received the Offensive MVP Award in both 2003 and 2004. He also was a Second Team All-Star selection as a Quarterback in the Central Susquehanna Conference in 2004. Chris is the career passing leader with 3,364 yards for Central Columbia. After high school in 2005, Chris was drafted and signed with the Florida Marlins as a catcher. In 2006, he was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays (Double A ball club-The Auburn Doubledays) and received the Catcher of the Year Award with the Auburn Doubledays, while his team won the New York Penn League in 2007. Chris graduated from Widener University where he was a four year starter on the football team. Chris's team won the ECAC South Atlantic Championship in 2011 and was the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2012. Chris was a two time All-American, a Gagliardi Trophy finalist and the Outstanding Division III Player of the Year. His team won the Middle Atlantic Conference Championship in 2012. Chris worked at Continental Tide Defense Systems as an Engineer in 2013 and is presently the QB's/Pass Coordinator for Seton Hill University.
