Jen Baney graduated from Central Columbia High School in 2000. She participated in track and field for four years. In 1999, she placed first in the 200 meter dash at the Coaches Invitational and was the District IV champion in the 100 and 200 meter dash. During the same year, she set a school record in the 100, 12.6 seconds and in the 200, 26 seconds. In addition, she was undefeated in the 200 at every dual meet and was voted first team in the Susquehanna Valley League and in the Press Enterprise for sprint events. During her senior year, she was the champion of the Mount Carmel Invite in the 100 and at districts in the 100 and 200. She placed 7th in the 100 and 8thin the 200 at the state meet and once again was undefeated during the regular season's dual meets.

Jen decided to continue her education after high school at Kutztown University where she was a part of the track team. In 2001, she was a part of the 4x100 that broke the university's record. In 2003, she was named the team's captain and set another record in the 4x200 meter relay at Penn Relays which still stands today. In 2004, the team won the PSAC Indoor Championship and she was inducted into the TAU Kappa Sorority for Elite Female Athletes. Jen was a four time conference place winner in the 200 and 4x100 meter relay as well as a Scholar Athlete three out of the four years at Kutztown. After college, she became the Area Director for the Albany Region for Learning Care Group and was awarded the Mentor Director Award and a Diamond Director Candidate. Jen later married Ryan Cameron and they have two daughters, Madelyn and Vivian.
