A 2007 Central Columbia graduate, Nate Johnson excelled as a three sport athlete. He participated in football, wrestling and baseball every year at Central Columbia. In wrestling Nate was a 4 time sectional champ, 3 time district champ, 2 time North East Region Champ and a 3 time PIAA state place winner. He has the school record with 74 pins and his individual record was 124 wins and 17 loses over the course of four years. Nate was named to the PWCA Academic All-State Team, All-State Team, Press Enterprise 1st Team Award, All-CSC League Wrestler of the Year, Press EnterpriseWinter Sports MVP, District IV 1st team award, team captain in 2007, and District IV Male Athlete of the Year Award.

In Baseball, the team won the District IV Championship in 2007. For football, Nate was named to the All-CSC 1st team linebacker/running back, District IV 2nd team fullback, Press Enterprise All-Star game participant and team captain.

After high school, Nate attended Bloomsburg University where he graduated with a degree in Elementary and Special Education. Nate was on the Dean’s list 7 times. He then came back to Central Columbia and became a Special Education Teacher in 2012. He coaches football, wrestling and track and field.

Nate is the son of two Central Columbia grads, Joann and Bob Johnson. He has three siblings, Jeremiah, Jillian and Trisha Johnson and is engaged to Emily Young.
