Gene Coleman

Gene Coleman, a 1970 graduate of Central Columbia High School, participated in Football, Wrestling and Baseball for four years. Gene earned 12 varsity letters during his athletic career at Central Columbia. He was named All-Anthracite League Player for three years in football, voted best lineman by the Susquehanna Valley League and voted most valuable player in baseball. He earned championships during the Bob Rohm and Hughesville Wrestling Tournaments. Gene attended Wilkes-Barre Business College for Business Administration where he earned an Associate Degree and later received a Bachelor's Degree from Dyke College. Gene worked for 32 years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in the Department of Public Welfare. He has coached youth football and baseball as well as been a PIAA Official for 25 plus years for baseball and football. Gene is married to Shelby Coleman for the past 26 years.
