This course is designed to introduce and apply core business principles utilized in a variety of business settings. Students have the opportunity to meet and discuss business practices with real business leaders through guest speakers and class field trips. 

Course Catalog Description: Today’s global economy and the “mean and lean” attitude of corporate America has created an ever increasing number of entrepreneurs in the United States’ work force. Business owners see a need, and produce a product or create a service to meet it. In the process they create new businesses, new jobs, and sometimes whole new industries. Students will learn the historic and economic background of entrepreneurship and business commerce, the different types of business formations, business management skills, business marketing strategies, business financing, business operations and business ethics. The stock market and the stock market game will be introduced and incorporated into the course.
