Physical Education Courses

Rationale and Course Description:  The purpose of physical education is to give students the knowledge, skills, and motivation necessary to lead a healthy lifestyle through activity.  Students will engage in a variety of individual and team activities with an emphasis on personal fitness.  Physical education not only improves physical, mental/emotional, and social health, but also builds sportsmanship, cooperation, and teamwork. 

 

*Research shows physically active students perform better in the classroom.  

*Our physical education courses are guided by the NASPE (National Association for Sport and Physical Education) Standards and Pennsylvania State Standards for Health, Safety, and Physical Education.
