This class will be an intensive study of the formal and informal structures of the government and the procedures of the American political system.  The primary goal of the class is to prepare students to take the exam in AP US Government and Politics.  The course will focus on the political theory and everyday practices that drive the operation of our government.  The course will not only cover an analysis of how the US government “works,” but also will help students develop an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the American political system, as well as their rights and responsibilities as citizens.
