Advanced 2-D Art focuses on further mastery of the PA Academic Standards for Arts and Humanities through developing drawing and painting skills. You will create a variety of projects, which will focus on refining your observation, drawing, and painting skills, expressing yourself through your artwork, and using your imagination. Studio projects created in class will be linked to art produced by artists today and multiple cultures throughout history. During this course you will gain a greater knowledge of materials such as, but not limited to pencil, charcoal, acrylic paint, and oil paint. You will be able to discuss artistic topics in depth and use newly learned methods in order to build your artistic skills. |
