Intro to 2-D Art focuses on mastery of the PA Academic Standards for Arts and Humanities through developing drawing and painting skills, along with other forms of 2-Dimensional art forms. You will create a variety of projects, which will focus on drawing from real life, observation skills, color theory, and expressing yourself through your artwork. Studio projects created in class will be linked to art produced by artists today and multiple cultures throughout history. During this course you will gain a greater knowledge of materials such as pencil, colored pencils, charcoal, watercolor and acrylic paint. You will be able to discuss artistic topics in depth and use newly learned methods in order to build your own artistic skills. |
