Mrs. Smargiassi attended Clarion Area High School.  She received her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Music Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  She received her Master's of Science in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University.  In her free time she enjoys running and hanging out with her husband Charlie and her two sons, Addison and Alton.

Welcome to the Central Columbia High School Vocal Music Department.  The classes offered by Mrs. Smargiassi are Chorus/Band-Chorus, Music Theory I & II, Voice Class I & II, Music History, Musical Theater, "What's in Your iPod" and Music Appreciation.

Central Columbia's Vocal Music Department has recently celebrated several years of student success above and beyond the traditional classroom:  multiple students attending PMEA District and Regional level festivals, 1 student attending PMEA All State Jazz Chorus, 5 students reaching the PMEA All State Chorus level, 1 student reaching the NAfME National Chorus level,multiple students reaching the NAfME All Eastern Chorus level, 4 students in the final round of First Columbia Banks Teen Star competition and Central Columbia has been the winner of this competition for the past 5 years.  Central students have had the opportunity to travel cross country from Pittsburgh PA to Providence, RI and from Grapevine, TX to Atlantic City, NJ.
