Students enrolled in the Agricultural Science III course at Central Columbia High School have been learning about animal welfare and heading into the meat science unit of the course curriculum. During the week of December 14, 2020; students obtained the opportunity to create venison jerky from the processing they completed the week prior. Students learned by dehydration methods, proper mixing and handling of meat as well as the by-products.
