On Tuesday, May 21 and Wednesday, May 22; five students (Cody Lehman, Codi Young, Isaac Gensemer, Owen Yorty and Mackenzie Fish) from the Central Columbia Agricultural/Environmental Science program competed at the 34th Pennsylvania Envirothon in Johnstown, PA representing Columbia County. Students traveled from across the state to compete at the University of Pitt-Johnstown in the 2019 Pennsylvania State Envirothon. The Envirothon tests their knowledge of the following categories: soils, forestry, wildlife, aquatics and the current issue. Students are tested on knowledge, hands-on skills and application of management techniques which are applied currently in agriculture and the environment.
