Environmental Science Class Conducts Leaf ID Lab

During the week of August 26, 2019; students in the Environmental Science class having been learning about the methods of properly identifying hardwood leaves and softwood needles. Methods utilized such as leaf margin, leaf shape and leaf arrangement. Students have also begun to utilize a dichotomous key to effective identify leaves and needles.

Venation for Identification Purposes

Needle Identification Lab
Here Bryson Osborne, Julia Priestman and Kalista Schultz examine leaves and needles for identification purposes as they complete the leaf/needle identification lab.
