Students enrolled in the Environmental Science course in the Central Columbia Agricultural/Environmental Science Program conducted an owl pellet dissection lab. During this lab, students observed, investigated and examined an owl pellet, how that owl pellet formed and why it was discarded. This lab is in the Wildlife Section of the Environmental Science course has these students prepare for the 2019 Susquehanna Valley Regional Envirothon.
Here Isaac Gensemer (12th grade) works to dissect an owl pellet to discover the type of food that an owl could have consumed.
Trent Kaiser (11th grade) and Josh Reifer(12th grade) work to dissect owl pellets during the Environmental Science course.
