Mr. Hercik is 2011 graduate of Nazareth Area High School. Upon graduation, he attended the University of Delaware where he majored in Health & Physical Education. He then transferred to East Stroudsburg University, where he received his degree in December of 2015. During the spring of 2016, he enrolled in the Exercise Science master's program at ESU before receiving his teaching position at Central. Mr. Hercik was a member of the East Stroudsburg University Warriors baseball team from 2012-2016.

At Central Columbia High School, Mr. Hercik teaches Lifetime Sports & Activities, Fitness & Team Sports, Advanced Strength & Conditioning, Sports Medicine I, Sports Medicine II, and Kinesiology. He also serves as an assistant baseball coach, assistant basketball coach, and senior class advisor.
