Tony DaRe was Central Columbia High School's J.V. and Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach for 9 years, Central Columbia High School's Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach for 18 years, and Bloomsburg University Men's Basketball Assistant for 3 years. While head coach, he won 2 District IV AA Titles and 2 Central Susquehanna Conference Titles. Tony has 252 career wins, 11 District IV AA qualifiers, 5 PIAA AA Tournament qualifiers, 4 twenty win seasons, 4 District IV AA final appearances, 4 All-State players, and 3 1,000 point scorers. He was named Central Susquehanna Conference Coach of the Year in 1991 and 2003, as well as, Press Enterprise Coach of the Year. Tony is a 1974 graduate of Bloomsburg State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Social Studies. He continued his post graduate work at Bloomsburg University, Penn State University, and Wilkes University. Tony was a Social Studies teacher at Central Columbia High School for 34 years and retired in June 2009. Currently, Tony is married to his wife Chris and they have two sons Tony and Michael.
