Shawn McCabe, graduated in 1993 and participated in two sports basketball and baseball for four years during in high school career. In 1991, Shawn was an essential part of the basketball team’s Central Susquehanna Conference Championship as well as the District IV Championship. In baseball, Shawn was a part of the 1991 Mid-Penn Championship, District IV Championship as well as the State Championship Teams. In 1992, he played a critical role in the team capturing the Mid-Penn and District IV Championships. In 1993, Shawn was the lead pitcher that helped the team capture the District IV title. Shawn was an ace pitcher on the staff for each of these championship baseball teams. His individual career pitching record was 28-2 and finished fourth all time in a single season with 44 runs batted in. In baseball, Shawn was named to the 1992 and 1993 First Team League All-Star, Press Enterprise First Team All-Star and was named Spring Athlete of the Year. In basketball, he was named to the 1992 and 1993 First Team All-Conference All-Stars as well as to the All-State Team. He is the fourth leading scorer all time in basketball with 1,123 points. Shawn graduated with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Lackawanna Junior College and presently is a sergeant at the Columbia County Prison.
