In honor of Fire Prevention Month, students in the Agricultural Science 1 course at Central Columbia participated in the annual Fire Safety Day. Leading up to this event, students in this course have been studying knowledge and skills in the General Shop Safety Unit. With the assistance of one of our local fire departments - Espy Fire Company of Bloomsburg, PA, students were able to work in conjunction with the local volunteers in learning about the fire company, the skills needed to become a firefighter and lastly the methods used to extinguish a fire.
