Students in the Environmental Science class conducted an orienteering activity on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. This activity introduced the importance of understanding ones stride, compass direction and proper use as well as information related to the Biltmore cruising stick which will be utilized to determine the number of logs in a tree as part of the forest managerial plan design.
Students work to determine the number of strides between pre-determined areas as well as to determine compass direction.
