Over the past few weeks, students enrolled in the Agricultural Science I class at Central Columbia High School have been participating in numerous plant science laboratories and learning sessions. During these units of instruction students have been able to identify plant parts, overall plant structures plus many more plant science items.
9th grade students work on a plant identification lab in which they grew the plant and know are going to use the plant to assist in their studies of different plant parts and their functions.
Student measures and then work to attach the plant to a flash card for later study use.
Students work to construct their plant identification cards during the plant science unit of instruction.
